TRUEWERK is seeking an experienced marketplace expert to drive growth across key online platforms. Reporting to the VP of Ecommerce, this role will collaborate with marketing and operations teams to expand brand presence and connect with trade professionals. The Director of Marketplaces will lead strategy, execution, and optimization for Amazon, Walmart, and emerging marketplaces, focusing on revenue, profitability, and operational excellence. This is a strategic, hands-on role requiring deep marketplace knowledge and data-driven insights.

Requirements

  • Experience with Amazon and Walmart marketplaces
  • Experience with Amazon Advertising (AMS) and Walmart Connect strategies
  • Ability to manage relationships with marketplace account managers
  • Experience with listing optimization, pricing strategies, and inventory management
  • Familiarity with supply planning and fulfillment optimization
  • Experience working with agency partners
  • Ability to guide cross-functional initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Marketplace Strategy & Growth:
    • Own marketplace business performance, managing revenue, profitability, and operational efficiencies to meet sales and ROAS goals.
    • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for Amazon, Walmart, and emerging marketplaces, aligned with the company's ecommerce vision.
    • Define short-term and long-term growth plans using data, insights, and market trends.
    • Identify new marketplace opportunities and build expansion roadmaps.
  • Forecasting, Reporting & Performance Analytics:
    • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales, advertising efficiency (ROAS, CPC, CPS), contribution margin, and operational performance.
    • Partner with Finance, Performance Marketing, and leadership to develop monthly revenue forecasts.
    • Develop and implement data-driven reporting frameworks for decision-making and executive updates.
  • Channel Operations & Optimization:
    • Oversee listing optimization, pricing strategies, and inventory management for Amazon and Walmart.
    • Manage relationships with Amazon and Walmart account managers to leverage platform updates and opportunities.
    • Collaborate with supply planning and fulfillment teams to optimize inventory and customer experience.
    • Work with agency partners to optimize media and retail aspects, overseeing Amazon Advertising and Walmart Connect strategies, and ensuring adherence to marketplace policies.
  • Cross-Functional & Agency Collaboration:
    • Partner with marketing, demand planning, operations, and customer service teams to drive an integrated marketplace strategy.
    • Collaborate across departments to scale operations, improve customer experience, and enhance marketplace performance.
