Requirements

  • Experience managing Market Development Funds (MDF) programs end-to-end, including allocation, approval, compliance, and reporting
  • Strong financial acumen for budget management, OPEX planning, contra budgets, accruals, forecasting, and reconciliation with Finance
  • Proficiency with MDF portals and tools like ChannelScaler/SFDC for operations, workflows, and data management
  • Ability to manage teams, including contractors, and provide mentorship and strategic direction
  • Expertise in process improvements, automation, and evolving program guidelines/best practices
  • Skills in stakeholder management, acting as point of contact for partners, internal teams, and escalations
  • Experience leading annual operating plans (AOP), quarterly business reviews (QBR), and operational planning
  • Knowledge of partner marketing, channel sales alignment, and global program governance

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end MDF lifecycle: allocation, approval workflows, compliance oversight, and performance reporting
  • Manage MDF rules of engagement, evolving program guidelines, and recommending best practices for stakeholders and partners
  • Act as the main point of contact for partners and internal stakeholders on MDF processes, escalations, and inquiries
  • Manage MDF funding to distributors and reseller partners in alignment with business objectives
  • Partner with Finance for program governance, fiscal discipline, and audit readiness
  • Oversee MDF portal operations (ChannelScaler/SFDC), workflows, data capture, budget uploads, and partner guidelines
  • Manage contra budgets, MDF accruals, financial reporting, and quarterly reconciliation with Revenue Recognition and Finance
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and best practices for the global MDF framework
  • Track MDF wallet funding (XTRM) for timely disbursements and spend recognition
  • Provide quarterly business review (QBR) materials/slides
  • Support operational requests via the MDF support desk
  • Oversee partner marketing team OPEX management for spend discipline, forecasting, and budget alignment
  • Lead annual AOP discussions and planning cycles with team and leadership
  • Manage an MDF compliance contractor and participate in Partner Marketing leadership team
  • Provide strategic direction and ensure alignment across partner/field marketing and channel sales functions
