Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent experience
10+ years of mechanical invention experience in complex hardware development, preferably in medical devices or regulated industries
5+ years of direct people leadership experience with engineers and cross-functional teams
Strong knowledge of medical-grade materials, fluid interfaces, sensor integration, and development for high-volume manufacturing
Demonstrated experience with technical ownership and product delivery in fast-paced development environments
Exposure to Agile hardware development, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), and lean engineering preferred

Responsibilities

Lead the mechanical development of complex infusion hardware, focusing on pumping mechanisms, fluid path layouts, and safety-critical features
Ensure robust performance under varying real-world conditions
Guide the integration of sensing and feedback systems to support closed-loop control and error detection
Apply advanced engineering tools and practices to deliver high-reliability, manufacturable solutions
Ensure all creations align with regulatory and quality standards
Hire, mentor, and manage a team of mechanical engineers and technicians
Foster a culture of technical rigor, innovation, and user-centered invention
Promote cross-site collaboration and knowledge sharing across global engineering teams
