Position Overview

Stio® is seeking a Sr. Manager, Retail Inventory Planning to manage and optimize in-store inventory to drive sales, margin, and store performance. This role is responsible for developing pre-season assortment plans and inventory strategies by store, ensuring effective management of retail inventory and driving sales through improved availability and forecasts. It is a highly collaborative role that partners with a variety of cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Pre-Season Planning

  • Develop and drive pre-season, item-level sales and inventory plans aligned with historical performance, merchandising strategies, and financial targets.
  • Partner with Merchandising teams on the seasonal assortment by style for retail.
  • Provide analytics to ensure the seasonal line meets financial and KPI targets.
  • Curate retail product assortment by store (style & color) using store clustering and merchandise input on style and color rank.
  • Develop and implement retail-specific initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams to execute seasonal plans effectively.
  • Prepare presentations and present channel strategies and forecasts in OTB meetings.
  • Plan and execute new store inventory, including merchandising plans and initial store inventory levels.
  • Build seasonal outlet store inventory requirements for the following season’s assortment, ensuring alignment with Outlet strategy and financial targets.

Allocation and Inventory Management

  • Develop and implement allocation strategies to ensure optimal product distribution across Stio’s retail and outlet locations.
  • Manage the timing of seasonal products and send-backs to optimize inventory flow.
  • Maximize sales by ensuring the right inventory is in the right stores at the right time.
  • Manage in-season forecasting to optimize allocation and omni-channel inventory management.
  • Ensure alignment with top-down, monthly forecasts and channel goals.
  • Adjust seasonal assortments in-season.
  • Support inventory management between retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels.
  • Manage outlet store pricing updates according to inventory sell-through strategy.

Reporting

  • Participate in weekly meetings focused on Merch performance and alignment between Central Retail, Retail Marketing, and Planning on retail strategies for in-season sales.
  • Assess the performance of retail planning initiatives and identify improvement opportunities for continuous optimization.
  • Establish and monitor revenue KPIs for the retail channel, tracking and reporting on performance metrics.
  • Create seasonal hindsight reporting for next season review.
  • Partner with the Retail Central team to gather store feedback for next season.
  • Recap and analyze monthly actuals against plan and last year.
  • Present key takeaways from performance analysis.
