Requirements

Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of industry experience in building perception and prediction modules for robotics or autonomous vehicles (AV) stacks. They must have hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, and a strong background in sensor fusion, particularly with lidar and camera data, and computer vision related to 3D perception and spatio-temporal tracking.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Machine Learning Engineer will develop and maintain prediction pipelines integrating lidar and camera inputs, research and implement state-of-the-art algorithms for 3D perception, tracking, and prediction, conduct ablation studies and parameter sweeps using simulations to validate model performance, curate diverse datasets for training and evaluation, analyze performance metrics and optimize models for reliability and deployability, collaborate with Behavior Planning to define service level agreements and integrate prediction outputs, and partner cross-functionally to evaluate the impact of new sensors on prediction performance.
