Requirements

Candidates should possess a Master’s or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. They must have an in-depth understanding of common Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms, along with experience designing, training, and analyzing neural networks for applications such as object detection, semantic segmentation, visual classification, and motion prediction. Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, including software design, source control management, and testing methods is required, as well as fluency in Python and experience with PyTorch or other deep learning frameworks.

Responsibilities

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer-Perception will drive project-level impact to enhance autonomous vehicle capabilities, formulate problems and design solutions, prototype and iterate on solutions, and produce and deploy solutions onto autonomous vehicle fleets. They will also collaborate with team members, mentor junior engineers, and influence the team's direction based on technology and business needs, while staying up-to-date with state-of-the-art solutions and systems for autonomous vehicles and deriving insights from large data sets.
