Position Overview

At Cars Commerce, we are dedicated to simplifying the car buying and selling experience through innovative technology. We are seeking a Senior HCM Developer – Workday to join our team. This role is a subject matter expert in Workday integrations, reporting, and functional configuration, focusing on Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Time Tracking & Absence, Advanced Compensation, and Talent Management. The ideal candidate will provide production support, drive new development, and enhance existing integrations, processes, reports, and security configurations using Jira service tickets.

Responsibilities

  • Integration and Support:
    • Develop, maintain, and enhance Workday integrations with third-party applications.
    • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
  • Report Development:
    • Partner with business users to gather reporting requirements and develop Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and BIRT reports.
    • Enhance existing reports to improve data visibility and decision-making.
  • Configuration and Production Support:
    • Provide ongoing support for Workday Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, Time Tracking, and Absence Management modules.
    • Lead system configuration efforts, conduct internal unit testing/QA, create user reference guides, and assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Roadmap Project:
    • Work with business users to define quarterly roadmap initiatives and ensure timely delivery of new Workday functionality.
  • Release Management:
    • Oversee Workday R1 & R2 releases, including analyzing release summaries, preparing user documentation, and coordinating testing and approval activities.
  • Workday Security Management:
    • Manage Workday security configurations, oversee access approvals, and participate in quarterly and annual audits.
  • SDLC Adherence:
    • Follow Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards, ensuring thorough documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Module Learning and Support:
    • Expand expertise in additional Workday modules as needed and provide ongoing operational support.
  • Collaboration with Service Providers:
    • Work with managed service providers and software vendors to address issues and optimize system performance.
    • Partner with business teams to document processes.
