  • Ability to formulate, plan, and oversee sales plans and strategies for customer acquisition, upgrade, and retention through direct sales channels (door-to-door, community events, retail locations)
  • Leadership experience to manage in-house and contract sales vendors for maximum results
  • Experience communicating mission, vision, values, and goals to sales teams
  • Skills in developing financial and operational objectives aligned with business goals
  • Ability to contribute to functional strategy development and impact business results
  • Capability to manage one or more groups of professional employees
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary

Responsibilities

  • Develop and achieve sales objectives by setting quotas, approving sales pitches, and providing product presentations to sales staff
  • Perform on-site training, coaching, skill development, and direction to Supervisors and contract sales organizations, enforcing organizational selling standards
  • Analyze sales trends and productivity, providing recommendations for improvement
  • Communicate and update Marketing Vice President and leadership team through analysis and reporting of business opportunities, results, trends, and competitive information
  • Demonstrate and enhance the sales process by coaching sales representatives for superior customer satisfaction and overseeing effective resolution of customer problems
  • Achieve financial objectives by maintaining expenses within budget
  • Conduct frequent field visits (minimum two times per month to each sales organization's location) to demonstrate sales process and knowledge of customer needs
  • Create and implement business-building programs for direct sales through the marketing team
  • Partner with key programmers and Marketing team to develop and implement business-building programs, including offers, incentives, and training
