Requirements

  • Above 6 years’ work experience in product design
  • Mechanical major with bachelor’s degree
  • Design experience of mechanical parts, familiar with 3D and 2D drawing software
  • Familiar with design criteria of mechanical parts and related manufacturing processes (plastic parts, stamping parts, PCBA)
  • Familiar with performance and manufacturing process of lithium battery pack, cell, BMS
  • Experience in product development, driving projects from design to mass production
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills, plus English reading and writing ability

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams to qualify alternate battery cells, electronic modules, and other components-based battery packs, along with second source development for subcomponents
  • Provide ongoing technical platform support for existing battery products and implement design changes
  • Utilize lab test equipment (data collection equipment, power supply, electronic load) to conduct testing
  • Employ design of experiments and other scientific methods to develop/qualify processes
  • Lead investigations and root cause analysis resulting from manufacturing issues or post-sales feedback
