Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a data analyst or business analyst working with large datasets is required, along with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with healthcare claims data. Advanced proficiency in SQL is essential, and familiarity with Spark or similar big data frameworks is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and organizational skills are also necessary.
The Sr. Data Analyst will design and maintain data transformations and mappings for medical claims, perform data quality audits, and write and optimize Spark SQL queries. Responsibilities include documenting data transformation logic, collaborating with stakeholders to define technical specifications, supporting new client data feed onboarding, and partnering with data engineers on pipeline development. The role also involves troubleshooting ETL workflows, acting as a subject matter expert for healthcare claims data, and enabling advanced analytics and ML models.
