Candidates should have 5-8 years of progressive legal experience, with at least 3-5 years gained in-house at a high-growth technology company or advising tech clients at a reputable law firm. Strong team player skills, the ability to work independently, excellent communication and persuasive skills, a proactive mindset, and strategic thinking capabilities are essential. Availability from 8 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time, with occasional extended hours, is also required.
The Commercial Counsel will independently draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of complex commercial agreements, including procurement, sales, and strategic partnership agreements. They will identify and implement improvements to legal processes and workflows, contribute to high-visibility cross-functional legal projects, and strategically solve complex legal and business problems. The role also involves proactively managing workload, prioritizing effectively, and communicating clearly with stakeholders and leaders.
