Candidates must possess strong genomics, healthcare, and informatics technical knowledge and expertise. Experience in selling Next Generation Sequencing and Genomic data analysis pipelines, applications, and products is essential. The role requires the ability to engage effectively with C-level executives, Laboratory Directors, Healthcare practitioners, IT leaders, and data analysts. Expertise in data visualization, data science including AI and Machine Learning, cloud-based workflows, LIMS, and NGS data analysis in a clinical environment is necessary. Experience with oncology research and testing data analysis is also required.
The Senior Clinical Informatics Sales Specialist will identify and close informatics opportunities by selling Illumina's clinical software products and associated services. Responsibilities include providing technical guidance and subject matter expertise during the sales cycle, consulting with customers on informatics requirements, and performing proof-of-concept analyses. The specialist will partner with third-party providers to offer end-to-end solutions, collaborate with sales teams to ensure customer success in clinical genomic data analysis, and develop/conduct informatics presentations and seminars. They will also provide Voice of Customer feedback to development and marketing teams, train the broader sales organization on clinical informatics, and remove informatics barriers to unlock sample volume and drive sales growth.
