The Senior Business Analyst’s role is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, and operations business processes that optimize the best use of our technologies. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The Senior Business Analyst is also responsible for generating and compiling business and technical requirements based on the findings, system configurations changes, testing, and status reports complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of AV’s Enterprise System Applications.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning:

  • Meet with management, decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve Enterprise Application systems issues.
  • Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.

Acquisition & Deployment:

  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing Enterprise applications.
  • Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.

Operational Management:

  • Primary support for UKG AutoTime – Time & Attendance, Scheduling, Labor Cost Accounting, Project Costing, Compliance, Reporting and Analytics.
  • Create adhoc queries and scripts to analyze data and support operational requests.
  • Timely follow-up, investigation, troubleshooting and resolution of Help Desk issues for Business Application Support.
  • Coordinate with other business system analysts in Projects, Financials, and other areas to resolve cross-functional issues.
  • Collaborate with the DBA/SysAdmin in Application of new Family packs and coordinate system integration testing with other module leads.
  • Identify potential system problems and escalate to other department contact for resolution; Work with customers in establishing the appropriate expectation and response time.
  • Reviews Help Tickets related to Kronos (UKG) Workforce AutoTime and resolves issues.
  • Documents as-is/to-be business processes, configuration scripts, and other associated functional specifications from end user requirements.
  • Interpret business requirements and understand how UKG AutoTime can be configured to meet those needs.
  • Coordinate, and implement plans to test business and functional processes and quality assurance testing.
