Requirements
Candidates should possess a computer science degree or equivalent experience, with a solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, RESTful patterns, and multithreading concepts. Proficiency in building and scaling production services using Go, Python, Java, or C# is required, along with a track record of leading projects to on-time delivery. A passion for customer success, effective cross-functional communication, and the initiative to proactively address issues are essential. Familiarity with AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Redis, Grafana, Docker, and Kubernetes is considered a plus.
Responsibilities
The Sr. Backend Cloud Engineer will develop Go-based microservices and RESTful APIs to support new and existing features for cyber attack detection and customer workflows. They will take end-to-end ownership of project delivery, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews. Responsibilities include challenging the status quo to improve architecture, user experience, performance, and stability, while relentlessly pursuing quality through engineering best practices like testing, code reviews, logging, monitoring, and resilient architecture. The role also involves providing operational and customer support for production services, utilizing technologies such as Kafka, Redis, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, and PostgreSQL.
