Proven experience with business-critical, production-level distributed systems software in languages like Go, C++, or Rust is required. Skills in benchmarking, testing, profiling, tuning, and scaling, with hands-on experience in low-level performance optimization for databases and cloud systems, are essential. Experience building services and deploying them on Kubernetes, along with strong knowledge of public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), is necessary. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also required.
The Senior Cloud Engineer will build a cutting-edge cloud-native platform on public cloud infrastructure, working with distributed systems such as ClickHouse servers, keepers, and caches. Responsibilities include improving these systems to maximize customer performance through auto-scaling, collaborating with the ClickHouse core development team and other data plane teams, and architecting and building robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.
