Candidates should have 8+ years of software engineering experience building complex, production systems and 3+ years of technical leadership experience, including mentoring, architecture decisions, and cross-team coordination. A demonstrated systems engineering background solving complex, cross-domain challenges is required, along with a strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and computer science fundamentals. Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices is essential. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, with a Master's degree being highly preferred. Proficiency in Python 3, web frameworks, APIs, NoSQL and SQL databases, and cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform is necessary. Familiarity with architecture patterns such as domain-driven design, clean architecture, and CQRS, as well as system design balancing performance, maintainability, and business requirements, is expected. Preferred experience includes financial systems (payment processing, fraud detection, compliance), financial regulations (AML, KYC, PCI DSS), banking integrations, high-scale systems, and third-party integrations.
