Requirements

Candidates must have 5+ years of professional software design and application development experience, with at least 3 years in back-end web application development. Strong experience developing high-performance and scalable web services using Go is required, along with experience with both relational (PostgreSQL) and graph databases (Neo4j). Excellent communication and writing skills are necessary, and candidates must be authorized to work and reside in the United States. A desire to embody core company values is also expected, and the ability to successfully complete a criminal background investigation is required.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Services Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain high-performance REST APIs and other web services that meet business requirements and scale to handle large amounts of traffic. They will collaborate closely with front-end developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of backend services into the overall application architecture. Responsibilities include implementing security best-practices, optimizing database queries and other I/O operations for optimal performance, participating in code reviews to maintain code quality standards, and identifying and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks, system failures, and bugs.
