Requirements

Candidates should possess a college-level accounting degree and 4-6 years of preferred revenue accounting experience. Experience with SAP/Oracle and strong Excel skills, including pivots and formulas, are required. Experience with Alteryx or databases is a plus, as is a willingness to rapidly learn new and legacy systems.

Responsibilities

The Specialist will perform revenue and expense accruals, including building accrual calculation models and reconciling accounts receivable and deferred revenue. They will assist with month-end close entries, ad hoc reporting, and audit requests, ensuring adherence to SOX policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include performing general ledger control reconciliations, understanding subsystems like Oracle Cloud, AR, and AP modules, and collaborating with various finance teams. The role requires learning accrual models across business groups, preparing purchase orders, processing accounts payable royalty invoices, assisting with financial reporting, and providing support to other team members. Strong analytical and communication skills are necessary for timely issue resolution and SOX compliance.
