Requirements

  • Degree in agronomy, biology, international trade, or a related field
  • Confirmed experience in sourcing biological raw materials (antibodies, proteins, serums) or in a similar role
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
  • Ability to analyze market trends and make strategic decisions
  • Experience in setting up contractual frameworks
  • Project management skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French
  • Very good level of English (spoken, written, read)
  • Proficiency in computer tools
  • Interest in management and team development, with the prospect of managing a team of three people within 2 to 3 years
  • Understanding of In Vitro Diagnostic and medical device context (IVDR regulatory context, ISO 13485, and 21CFR part 820)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate new suppliers of biological and sustainable products
  • Negotiate contracts and purchase terms with suppliers to obtain the best possible conditions
  • Ensure supplier compliance with biological standards and current regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams (quality, production, logistics) to ensure continuous supply and product quality
  • Supervise market trends and innovations in the field of biological products
  • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and develop long-term strategic partnerships
  • Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with requirements, applicable regulations, and performance
  • Analyze costs and propose solutions to optimize expenses related to the purchase of biological products
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events to identify new sourcing opportunities
  • Potential for team management within 2 to 3 years
  • Support role for the three European sites (Nîmes/France, Hennigsdorf/Germany, and Vantaa/Finland)
