dbt Labs is seeking a Solutions Architect to join their go-to-market team in Australia. This role focuses on leading the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of dbt Cloud for enterprise and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will be based in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through their dbt Cloud journey, from initial discovery and demos to product adoption and expansion.
• Develop expertise in designing enterprise-grade data pipelines within dbt Cloud and articulating the business value of the platform.
• Secure architecture and security approvals for dbt Cloud with customer contacts.
• Collaborate internally to grow the dbt ecosystem and support go-to-market strategies, including presenting at events, enabling partners, and working with Customer Support and Professional Services.
• Act as the internal voice of the customer, providing feedback and influencing the product roadmap.
• Align closely with strategic partners, such as data platform providers and consulting firms.
• Travel up to approximately 25% of the time for in-person meetings and team events.
• Contribute actively to the dbt community through blogs, meetups, and other engagements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting within data operations, analytics, or BI.
• Strong technical background with proficiency in SQL, ETL, and data modeling.
• Thorough understanding of modern data warehousing architectures and the ability to discuss them effectively.
• Ability to gather and translate technical and business requirements into actionable solutions.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and in-person) for engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Adaptability to work in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to being an inclusive teammate and an active community member.

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Previous experience in analytics, ETL, BI, or open-source software companies.
• Knowledge of or prior experience with dbt.
• Experience with Dimensional Modeling.
• Experience with traditional Enterprise ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Boomi, Talend, WhereScape).
