Candidates should possess a BA/BS in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a solutions architect, data architect, database administrator, or data engineer. Three years of technical consulting experience, experience in a lead role for large enterprise analytics projects, and experience implementing and operating Snowflake-centric solutions are required. Familiarity with the complete data analytics stack, industry common BI and ETL solutions, and hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Java, and/or Spark for data analytics solutions are necessary. Extensive knowledge of and experience with large-scale database technology and proficiency in implementing data security measures, access controls, and design specifically within the Snowflake platform are also essential. Additional desirable qualifications include experience in a product company's services organization, leadership experience in executing technical projects, industry vertical expertise, application development experience, and AWS, Google, or Microsoft Cloud and Snowflake Snowpro Advanced certifications.
The Solutions Architect will directly engage with customers individually or as part of a technical delivery team, overseeing and advising on the implementation of the customer's Snowflake platform. They will demonstrate technical leadership through personally developed code, solution architectures, and implementation recommendations, acting as a trusted advisor to customer executive leadership for thought leadership and solution approaches. Responsibilities include extracting business requirements from customers and translating them into well-architected recommendations, developing and providing forward-looking guidance and future state roadmaps, and leveraging known best practices and solutions to reduce risk to customer implementations. The role also involves decomposing future state goals into actionable execution plans and collaborating with Snowflake Go-To-Market and product teams to ensure customer alignment to Snowflake goals.
