Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil, and have at least 3 years of experience in solar project engineering. Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, design principles, and electrical codes is essential, along with experience preparing technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with interconnection processes and utility requirements is also desired.
The Solar Project Engineer will support the design team, oversee and design commercial and grid supplied Solar Photovoltaic systems, prepare technical drawings and specifications, conduct site evaluations, coordinate with various engineering disciplines, manage professional engineer reviews, provide technical support to sales and finance, participate in meetings and presentations, support interconnection paperwork, review specifications for materials and equipment, identify appropriate equipment, and assist with RFP reviews. They will also develop customer deliverables, provide ongoing technical support during construction, and review other design engineers’ work.
