Candidates must be at least 21 years of age to rent a vehicle. Prior experience with field work such as construction, security systems, or low voltage wiring is a plus. Prior knowledge of operating a bucket truck is required. Candidates must be comfortable driving a work van and occasionally a 1 ton pickup truck or towing a small trailer. Prior use of power tools, motor vehicles, and heavy equipment is necessary. Candidates must be comfortable working on ladders at high heights and possess handyman-like experience. Good time-management, organization, and communication skills are essential. A desire to work outdoors and be comfortable in all weather conditions is required. General knowledge of technology and the ability/desire to learn new software/tools is needed. Basic computer skills including Office Suite, Google Suite, and email are required.
Install poles of varying lengths per install specifications, including digging holes. Mount solar panels on poles and attach external batteries. Affix license-plate reading cameras with PTZ technology to poles. Work on both public and private roads, often on equipment 10-12 feet high, and up to 30 feet high using a bucket truck or ladder. Repair minor breaks in underground irrigation or private wiring. Provide installation pictures via the Flock field app. Perform administrative tasks such as inventory management and receiving product shipments. Meet with customers to discuss installation options and perform site surveys. Interpret traffic control plan and permit drawings to identify proper installation locations.
