Energy Efficiency Engineering Lead

Candidates should possess 6-12 years of experience in site development, entitlement, and environmental permitting at the municipal, state, and federal levels, with desired experience in solar PV or energy storage projects. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering is required, and an active Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferred in multiple states, is desired.
The Civil Project Engineer II will design, direct, and manage concurrent projects using internal or external resources, lead site review and zoning/bylaws review, manage survey and environmental sub-consultants, apply NLE’s Value Stream Map (VSM) to advance projects through design and entitlement, identify and onboard surveyors and consultants, work with state agencies and stakeholders, present to planning/zoning boards, develop project entitlement documentation, collaborate in the development of standard details and SOPs, review design drawings and project bid sets, prepare the civil engineering components of project bid sets for the IPP bidding process, respond to bidder permitting questions, and coach early-career engineers.
