Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 10+ years of experience in software development
  • 2+ years leading technical projects
  • At least 2 years experience as a people leader
  • Strong technical background in JAVA, Relational and NoSQL Databases (Postgres, Elastic, Oracle), Messaging systems (Kafka, Pulsar, RabbitMQ), GitHub Actions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor software development teams in an agile environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related technical field
  • 5+ years people leadership experience
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

Responsibilities

  • Be an effective people manager, bringing out the best performance from the team, and be a highly technical hands-on coder
  • Define and lead the software strategy for new technologies and highly complex features, driving the next generation Global Inventory Platform
  • Host technical discussions, act as a subject matter expert, and exert strategic influence
  • Own and drive complex technical projects from planning through execution
  • Create a team environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning
  • Provide career development opportunities, maintain constructive feedback, and inspire innovation through hands-on mentoring
  • Balance adoption of new technologies with practical, efficient solutions
  • Run the day-to-day software development lifecycle, including daily standups and eliminating roadblocks
  • Keep up with technological advancements and AI innovation to integrate them into engineering practices
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, program managers, SRE, and other teams to align technology with business goals and user needs
  • Actively participate in planning and scope definition for team projects, supporting Product Owners and Program Managers to deliver high-quality software on time
  • Guide development teams to improve user experience, quality, and performance; plan, coordinate, and communicate project details to stakeholders; encourage innovation
