Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT related discipline or any combination of equivalent relevant education, training and experience
  • 5 or more years of software engineering experience
  • Experience for over 3+ years working with Manhattan Active Warehouse Management is required
  • Hands-on experience with the Manhattan ProActive and Config Director tools for creating and managing customizations
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like: FreeMarker, Velocity, Python
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes and workflows
  • Proven experience in customization, testing, and deployment of WMS enhancements
  • Experience reading and writing SQL
  • Experience with API, XML, and integration frameworks
  • Experience in writing automation tests
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great communication skills (oral and written) and ability to work independently or in group settings as needed
  • (Preferred) Writing and modifying of shell/python scripts for automation of systems, applications and backups
  • (Preferred) Knowledge and experience on DevOps concepts, tools and technologies like Cucumber, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Docker, AWS, GIT etc
  • (Preferred) Experience on an object-oriented language like Java, C#, C++ etc
  • (Preferred) Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and Manhattan Active architecture is highly desirable
  • (Preferred) Experience with other warehouse management systems such as Manhattan WMOS, JDA, HighJump, and SAP

Responsibilities

  • Act as the SME for Manhattan Active WMS with a focus on ProActive tool-based customizations
  • Design, develop, and deploy ProActive customizations to extend and optimize Active WMS functionality
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document WMS requirements
  • Perform technical analysis, configuration, testing, and deployment within Active WMS
  • Work closely with Nike engineering and business teams on interfaces, APIs, and data flows between WMS and other supply chain systems
  • Lead testing, documentation, and training for custom-built solutions
  • Ensure solutions follow best practices, scalability, and upgrade compatibility within the Manhattan Active environment
  • Defines test scenarios based on business processes and may participate in integration testing when needed
  • Conducts usability User Acceptance Tests (UAT) with business teams
  • Support production distribution centers (DC) in incident management, problem management, minor enhancements, change management, and documentation
  • Implementation of Active WM in new DCs and implementing new WMS capabilities for existing DCs
  • Program Increment Planning, Story Refinement and Estimation
  • Spikes, Detailed Design, Build and Test
  • Integration Build and E2E Tests
  • Scrums And Associated Sprint Ceremonies
  • Knowledge transfer to production support after each implementation
  • Resolve escalated tickets, performance problems and create Root Cause Analysis (RCA) document on Severity level issues
