Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma required (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • NMLS Registration required
  • 4+ years of banker/client relationship consultant or related sales experience with established goals
  • Advanced knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation, and systems
  • Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services
  • Functional knowledge of complex accounts (e.g., Trust, Power of Attorney, Guardianship, Court-Blocked)
  • Ability to analyze client credit data

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional client sales and service experience at branch locations
  • Assist with branch operations, including training, mentoring, and coaching team members
  • Grow and maintain consumer/business lending pipeline by deepening relationships and sourcing referrals
  • Conduct outbound calls, networking activities, and deliver banking presentations
  • Consult with clients on bank products and services using need-based sales techniques to attract, expand, and retain relationships
  • Recognize and facilitate referral opportunities to other business lines (e.g., Commercial Lending, Treasury Management, Mortgage Lending, Investment Services)
  • Communicate proactively with clients to educate, resolve issues, develop loyalty, solicit feedback, and improve bank performance
  • Hold client appointments (scheduled or walk-in) to identify and meet client needs
  • Open new accounts, verify and process changes to existing accounts, respond to inquiries, and resolve account problems
  • Comply with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations
  • Assist in branch lending processes: accept applications, educate clients on options, complete loan applications and documentation, answer questions, and book loans
  • Process routine financial transactions (e.g., check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, loan payments) accurately and efficiently
  • Balance cash drawer, counting currency and coin accurately
  • Facilitate client awareness and education of bank products and services, including digital banking capabilities
  • Address client requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly and efficiently
