Requirements

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, and one year of customer service experience, with previous healthcare experience preferred. They should have experience with various insurance plans (HMO, PPO, Medicare) and demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines is also required.

Responsibilities

The Sleep Customer Qualification Specialist will ensure individual and team goals are achieved by meeting order processing targets, answering calls from providers, patients, and insurance companies regarding referral/authorization/pre-certification requests, reviewing clinical documentation to verify insurance requirements, contacting patients to gather additional data, maintaining in-depth knowledge of Sleep products and programs, educating patients on Sleep therapy, resolving patient complaints, identifying opportunities to reduce order cancellations and improve efficiency, offering ideas to enhance business growth, and adhering to HIPAA guidelines. They will also act as a mentor for new employees and perform other duties as assigned.
