Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, and have 1-3 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or business development within the cloud native, cybersecurity, or devops industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with proficiency in using CRM systems, such as HubSpot CRM or Salesforce, and other sales enablement tools. Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills are also necessary.
The SLED Business Development Representative will prospect and identify potential clients in the security sales market through various techniques including cold calling, emailing, social media outreach, and attending industry events. They will conduct thorough research on prospects to understand their security needs, generate a consistent pipeline of high-quality leads by meeting targets, qualify leads by matching them with Chainguard’s security solutions, schedule meetings and product demos for the sales team, collaborate on sales strategies, maintain CRM records, stay updated on industry trends, and provide feedback to marketing and product teams.
Supply chain risk management and audits
