Requirements

  • Customer service experience: 1 year in a retail or restaurant environment
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Must meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling, and health & safety guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Deliver legendary customer service to all customers
  • Discover and respond to customer needs
  • Maintain a customer comes first attitude
  • Execute store operations during scheduled shifts
  • Organize opening and closing duties as assigned
  • Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security
  • Follow all cash management and cash register policies and ensure proper cash management practices are followed
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events
  • Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers
  • Communicate information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the Third Place environment
  • Assist with new partner training by positively reinforcing performance and providing respectful coaching
  • Provide feedback to store manager on partner performance during shift
  • Recognize alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicate them to the store manager
  • Develop positive relationships with shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation and needs
  • Utilize operational tools to achieve operational excellence
  • Create a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching and feedback to partners
  • Ensure operational excellence and improve partner performance
