Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have previous restaurant experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to speak and understand the English language. Knowledge of food safety regulations and restaurant health codes is required, as is the ability to handle high-stress situations and make quick decisions. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is also necessary.
The Shift Supervisor will supervise and motivate the entire restaurant team while delegating tasks to ensure efficient cooperation. They will conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily goals and updates. The role includes ensuring outstanding guest service by addressing concerns and monitoring feedback, overseeing operational tasks such as opening and closing procedures, and maintaining food quality and safety standards. They will conduct training for new team members and provide ongoing coaching, act decisively in emergencies, promote daily specials, and upsell menu items to enhance guest experience.
