Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from a four-college or university and 8+ years’ related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, along with networks with key contacts outside their area of expertise, the ability to determine methods and procedures for new assignments, and coordination skills for other personnel. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and experience with hardware, software, and network troubleshooting are also required, as well as experience with software application use and installation.

Responsibilities

The Service Desk Specialist IV will troubleshoot and fix desktop/computer hardware and software issues while striving to deliver excellent customer service to end-users, following standard operating procedures and ticketing systems. They will image, update, and resolve computer and software application issues for new and existing employees, maintain equipment inventory by processing RMAs and ordering new equipment, maintain physical presence at designated service locations, monitor and update tickets in a defined ticketing system, respond to tickets, contact users, and plan workload, update and escalate tickets as required, sign off on closed tickets with users, provide routine software and hardware troubleshooting support, and support access to corporate network/wireless and applications. They will also perform other duties as required.
