Role: Sales Director - APAC

This role is responsible for overseeing the Asia Pacific region and driving deals to successful closure. The Sales Director will collaborate with Engineering, Business Development, and the Executive team to advance sales through the funnel and accelerate business growth. This customer-facing position requires technical proficiency to customize satellite offerings, business acumen to establish mutually beneficial programs with clients, and interpersonal skills to develop and execute sales plans for prospect conversion.

Responsibilities

  • Expedite leads through the pipeline to accelerate sales cycles.
  • Confidently present Astranis technical materials and champion products at customer meetings, conferences, and public events.
  • Identify and qualify new sales prospects to ensure focus on the most promising deals.
  • Negotiate with client representatives at all levels to generate shareholder value and build long-term relationships for future sales.
  • Bridge business and technical requirements to devise solutions that satisfy internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Maintain efficient and professional communication with internal Astranis stakeholders, particularly the Engineering team, to drive the creation of technical solutions for customer needs.
  • Cultivate and maintain customer relationships, adeptly navigating complex corporate structures to identify, connect with, and persuade decision-makers.
  • Prepare and present short- and long-term product sales forecasts, reports, and analyses to the Astranis Executive Team and Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience within the satellite industry.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a customer-facing sales role.
  • Extensive experience in closing complex deals valued in the millions of dollars.
  • A strong understanding of satellite communications and payload design at a systems level.
  • Proficiency in English.
