Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team of user researchers, working closely with leadership to shape product strategies, and scaling the impact of research across an organization. They should be adept at increasing the visibility of research insights, ensuring action is taken, and partnering with directors to focus on high-impact areas. Experience in nurturing talent, leading team forums, and scaling team systems and processes is also required, along with a proven ability to hire diverse user researchers and manage their onboarding. A deep understanding of customer needs and market opportunities, as well as experience collaborating with and influencing stakeholders across product, leadership, marketing, compliance, and legal departments, is essential.

Responsibilities

The Senior User Research Manager will manage a team of user researchers across product verticals, working cross-functionally with Product Design, Product Management, and Engineering teams. They will develop and deliver product strategies within business areas, provide support and development for direct reports, and collaborate with stakeholders to gain alignment and support for strategies. Responsibilities include ensuring research insights lead to action, nurturing talent within the research team, and raising the standard of research through feedback and improved processes. The role also involves hiring and onboarding new researchers and maintaining an active presence in the external community.
