Proficiency in AI for research tasks, mastery of moderated and unmoderated testing, and fluency with tools like UserTesting.com, Maze, Hotjar/FullStory are essential. Experience building research operations and repositories, data literacy for combining qualitative and quantitative insights, and strong communication and stakeholder management skills are required. A portfolio demonstrating business impact is necessary. Bonus points for travel-tech or startup experience, Figma proficiency, and willingness for occasional field visits.
The Lead UX Researcher will build the company's research practice from the ground up, defining strategy, operating models, and standards, and creating an insights repository. Responsibilities include planning and executing end-to-end research studies using various methods such as usability testing, interviews, surveys, and field studies. The role involves triangulating insights from behavioral analytics, product data, and qualitative findings to provide clear recommendations. Scaling research operations, influencing product strategy by translating insights into roadmaps, and championing the customer by training non-researchers are also key duties.
