Requirements
Candidates are required to have 4+ years of relevant ML engineering or research experience in language models, very strong programming skills and the ability to write clean and maintainable research code, and a deep interest in building human-in-the-loop systems for creativity. They should also possess a passion for seeing research through from initial conception to eventual application, along with experience mentoring and teaching other researchers.
Responsibilities
The Applied Research Lead will lead efforts in building large language models and vision language models that power Runway’s research and tools, with a focus on multimodal capabilities and reasoning. They will also be responsible for monitoring and interpreting changes in employment legislation across North America and Europe, developing HR policies to ensure compliance, conducting audits, delivering training, and advising management on HR-related risk mitigation strategies, and communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.
