The Staff User Researcher will establish the research function at Ethos by defining processes, methods, and research operations. They will own and drive strategic research initiatives across complex user journeys and systems, including agent tools, quoting flows, application pipelines, and customer onboarding. Responsibilities include diving deep into complexity to understand and simplify multi-step workflows, decision-making contexts, compliance constraints, and multi-user systems. The role involves building scalable research frameworks for continuous discovery, satisfaction measurement, longitudinal tracking, and feedback loops. They will lead mixed-method research efforts, synthesize findings across data sources, and communicate with clarity and influence to shape product strategy. Additionally, the researcher will mentor future researchers and designers, help build an insight-driven product culture, and innovate with tools and technology to accelerate learning and improve research efficiency.
