Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree and 4-5 years of group underwriting experience in Medical, Accident, and/or Supplemental Benefits, or equivalent experience with at least 1 year in program business. Preferred qualifications include 15+ years of group underwriting experience across multiple segments, individual underwriting experience, at least 3 years in program business, and relevant certifications like LOMA's FLMI.
The Senior Underwriter will develop, analyze, review, and evaluate new Accident business, manage renewal underwriting, and oversee referrals for the Trucking, Education, and Participant Accident markets. Responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams, supporting actuarial functions, managing relationships with sales and account managers, ensuring reinsurance compliance, leading quoting efforts, assessing risk, pricing coverage, and participating in strategic projects and portfolio management.
