Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test and Platform Operation Engineer with extensive experience in Business Requirements Testing (BRT) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices. In this critical role, you will ensure our software solutions not only meet business needs and exceed customer expectations but also maintain exceptional system reliability and stability. You will serve as a vital liaison between product owners, business analysts, and the development team. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust testing frameworks and tools to guarantee our software adheres to business, quality, and reliability standards.

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Analysis

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, product managers, and developers, to understand, analyze, and refine business requirements.
  • Identify gaps, ambiguities, and inconsistencies in requirements, providing actionable feedback to enhance clarity and completeness.

Test Planning and Design

  • Develop comprehensive test strategies and detailed test plans aligned with business requirements and project objectives.
  • Develop tools and utilities to support continuous testing and integration efforts.
  • Contribute code to improve test infrastructure, increase test coverage, and reduce testing cycle times.

Testing Execution and Automation

  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests, utilizing both manual and automated testing tools.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate closely with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Leverage automation frameworks to enhance the efficiency and coverage of testing efforts.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop testing tools that boost productivity.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test data, defect reports, and test summaries.
  • Report on test progress and results to stakeholders, providing recommendations for go/no-go decisions.

System Reliability and Performance

  • Develop and implement effective monitoring and alerting strategies to proactively detect issues.
  • Collaborate to create automated solutions for incident response and resolution.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) on critical issues, identifying opportunities to improve system stability.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident management to ensure system uptime.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on Business Requirements Testing.
