Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree, with a JD, MBA, or Master's degree being preferred. A minimum of 8 years of experience is required in legal business consulting, legal technology innovation, or legal managed services. Strong technical program management skills for large-scale legal operations projects, executive stakeholder relationship management, and deep knowledge of legal systems such as contract management, e-discovery, and compliance platforms are essential. Expertise in legal industry processes including regulatory compliance, M&A, IP management, and data privacy is necessary, along with IT systems administration and L2/L3 business support experience. Information security acumen, organizational change management skills, and vendor management experience are also required. Relevant certifications such as CLOC/ILTA/ACC, CIPP/CIPM/CIPT, PMP, CISA/CISM/CISSP, Agile, or Lean/Six Sigma are preferred.
The Senior Technical Program Manager will lead cross-functional programs involving Legal, IT, and Information Security, defining scope, success metrics, and roadmaps while overseeing end-to-end execution. They will manage vendor relationships, influence system roadmaps to meet Legal organization needs, and facilitate technical requirements. Responsibilities include serving as an in-house expert on legal technologies, collaborating with IT teams on releases and upgrades, and staying current on legal tech trends. The role involves providing L2/L3 support, leading demos and training sessions, developing user guides, and driving technology adoption. Additionally, the position requires identifying automation and innovation opportunities in legal operations, tracking system usage and impact, and leading organizational change management initiatives.
