Requirements
Candidates should have at least 4 years of progressive experience in tax accounting, with a focus on U.S. federal income tax and international tax. Experience in public accounting or with a large multinational corporation is preferred, as is prior experience in a SaaS or enterprise software company. A strong working knowledge of ASC 740 (tax provisions) and deferred tax accounting is required. Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong prioritization abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities are essential. A CPA, CMI, or MST designation is preferred. Experience with NetSuite is also preferred.
Responsibilities
The Senior Tax Specialist will assist with the preparation of U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns for corporate entities, as well as international tax returns for subsidiaries in Australia, Canada, the UK, and Ireland. They will also assist in the preparation of the annual tax provision in compliance with ASC 740 and various indirect tax returns and monthly reconciliations. This role involves supporting tax audits and inquiries, collaborating with internal departments to gather information, and conducting tax research and analysis for compliance and planning opportunities. Additionally, the specialist will assist with employment tax-related matters and identify/implement process improvements, including system implementation support.
