Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or Management, with a preference for chartered accountant qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CTA, CPA or similar). Experience working in a Tax department, particularly in tax and reporting within a Big 4 environment, including preparing and filing tax returns, is required. SAP experience is not mandatory but considered a plus. The ideal candidate is a team-player with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is fluent in English, both written and spoken. Previous remote work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Tax Analyst will prepare and submit all reports related to Remote's VAT, Sales, and Use Tax obligations in the US and Canada, including Sales and Use Tax Returns, Recapitulative Statements, and Statistical Reports. Responsibilities include ensuring ERP data accuracy through controls and liaising with accounts payable and receivable teams, analyzing invoices for compliance with local tax laws, and supporting the team before public entities. The role also involves the follow-up, maintenance, review, and reconciliation of tax accounts, preparation and filing of VAT and Sales and Use Tax claims, and supporting tax registrations worldwide. Additionally, the analyst will assist with ad hoc research and projects, monitor changes in tax law across various jurisdictions, and support the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and yearly US Direct tax filings.
