Candidates must have over 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator in a cloud-first environment, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently. Deep expertise in Identity and Access Management with hands-on experience managing an IdP like Okta is essential. Proven experience managing core business platforms including Google Workspace and Jamf for Apple device management is required, along with proficiency in administering the Atlassian Suite. Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell are necessary, as is a solid understanding of IT security principles, networking fundamentals, and basic AWS cloud infrastructure. Excellent communication skills are also a must. Bonus points for professional certifications such as Okta Certified Professional, Jamf Certified Admin, or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or familiarity with Agile methodologies.
The Senior IT Systems Administrator will architect and strategize the corporate IT infrastructure roadmap, developing governance policies and scalable processes for identity management, device security, application access, and IT support. They will serve as the lead administrator for core SaaS/IaaS platforms like Okta, Google Workspace, Jamf, Slack, and the Atlassian Suite, leveraging scripting and automation to streamline user lifecycle management and integrate systems. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining security best practices, managing endpoint security with Jamf, enforcing access policies with Okta, and monitoring the cloud environment for performance and compliance. The role also involves building a world-class employee experience through reliable systems and excellent support, acting as a senior escalation point, creating documentation, and managing the IT service desk. Collaboration with Security, HR, Engineering, and other departments to deliver technology solutions is also a key duty.
