Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically within the medical device industry. Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, medical device regulatory standards (such as FDA and ISO), and experience with Altium Designer are required. Demonstrated ability to lead technical reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams is also essential.
The Senior Sustaining Electrical Engineer will independently drive product improvement initiatives for critical electrical designs in medical products, identifying and qualifying alternate components, mentoring junior engineers, and investigating customer complaint trends and manufacturing yield losses. They will update and qualify designs, create electrical schematics and documentation, and develop electrical project plans and schedules, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and effective communication with senior management.
