Requirements

Candidates should possess 5-7+ years of experience in a quantitative role like marketing analytics, data science, or business intelligence, ideally within a consumer tech or marketplace company. Proficiency in SQL, Python or R for statistical analysis and modeling, and experience with BI tools such as Mode, Metabase, or Looker are essential. A deep understanding of quasi-experimental design, causal inference, marketing funnels, CAC, LTV, ROAS, and predictive modeling techniques is required. Strong strategic thinking, the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders, and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Data Scientist will analyze marketing performance by designing and building core dashboards to monitor key performance indicators across all marketing channels. They will drive strategy with insights by conducting deep-dive analyses to understand channel effectiveness, measure campaign ROI, and identify optimization opportunities. The role involves owning marketing experimentation by designing, executing, and analyzing incrementality tests and marketing experiments. Additionally, they will develop foundational marketing science models, such as member LTV prediction, marketing attribution models, and lead scoring. The Data Scientist will partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Engineering leaders to translate data-driven insights into actionable business strategies and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to various audiences.
