Responsibilities
Drive procurement sourcing strategies, manage the bid process, and negotiate purchases of materials, equipment, and services for medium to high dollar/complexity requirements
Support the company’s strategic direction and assist in building an organization that expertly executes procurement processes
Serve as a role model, technical expert, and coach for colleagues with less experience
Collaborate with cross-functional teams through all stages of the sourcing process: supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract implementation
Identify and implement best practices in procurement processes
Provide expertise and advice on strategic approaches to ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
Improve supply base capabilities and key business processes; implement value-added best practices in sourcing and contract management
Promote strategic functions such as volume aggregation/standardization and supplier base optimization
Conduct RFPs, negotiate, and execute high complexity contracts; support internal business partners and suppliers
Coordinate with end users and suppliers for high-level oversight and timely issue resolution
Lead complex sourcing projects using novel approaches to author, negotiate, and execute agreements that mitigate risk and drive value
Proactively seek negotiated cost savings and value-added opportunities through strategic supplier negotiations
Establish and monitor contract and supplier performance, including KPIs; review data with business groups to improve strategy
Produce and analyze Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) scorecards
Evaluate supplier agreements for contributions to supply chain sustainability
Conduct market analysis to identify diverse businesses for sourcing opportunities
Update, process, and approve procurement records; identify data issues and develop business partner understanding
Build supportive internal and external relationships within Procurement and across functions
Communicate effectively with business groups to engage and influence outcomes
Utilize tools and resources, leveraging deep knowledge to add value and drive change
