Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with Python and SQL in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related field, with familiarity with APIs being a strong asset. Advanced proficiency in PySpark and/or Databricks is required, including a deep understanding of performance optimization and modern data lake architectures. Strong customer empathy, exceptional communication skills, and a collaborative, solution-oriented approach are essential. The ability to thrive in a detail-driven, cross-functional environment and a passion for continuous learning and data are also necessary. Experience with data observability platforms like Datadog, product analytics, machine learning, or BI is considered a plus.
The Senior Solutions Engineer will build and optimize scalable data pipelines using PySpark and Databricks, and design and maintain clean, well-structured data models for analytics and reporting. They will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to deliver high-quality, actionable datasets. Key responsibilities include leading technical initiatives to improve data infrastructure, performance, and reliability, mentoring junior team members, promoting best practices in data quality, testing, and governance, and contributing to the long-term data architecture and strategy.
