Requirements

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in Java backend development, working with microservice-based paradigms and technologies across Data, Cloud Integration, and/or Search products. A solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), experience with NoSQL systems (e.g., MongoDB), and hands-on experience building platforms on AWS or similar cloud technologies are required. Proven track record of delivering reliable and scalable production software across distributed systems, experience owning projects end-to-end, and strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will help build and scale a configuration-driven data platform processing millions of workflows daily to power Clari's ML, AI, and Analytics/Forecasting products. They will design and develop reusable data integration APIs for the cloud data lake, focusing on quality, architecture, and observability. Responsibilities include identifying and strategizing long-term opportunities, collaborating on planning, prioritization, and execution of the technical and architectural roadmap, and taking ownership of driving product success. The role also involves consistently delivering software on time, proactively identifying risks, and effectively adjusting and communicating plans to achieve team objectives.
