They must have over seven years of full-time experience in backend software development, a solid grounding in at least one cloud environment such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and a deep understanding of distributed systems, including multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing technologies. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to pinpoint system failures are also required, along with collaborative team skills and a thorough understanding of engineering best practices, including testing paradigms, code reviews, and resilient architecture.
The Senior Software Engineer, Backend - Ingestion will serve as a Major Initiative Lead, guiding the design of proprietary Cloud Protocols and collaborating closely with Falcon Sensor teams. They will be responsible for designing and building high-volume services and systems for a cloud-delivered SaaS product, scaling backend systems through techniques like sharding and horizontal partitioning, optimizing performance, and delivering code that is unit tested, code reviewed, and regularly checked in for continuous integration. Furthermore, they will collaborate with members across multiple teams to brainstorm, define, and build solutions, demonstrating a desire to ship code and a passion for seeing it run in production.
