Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, with 4-5 years of professional IT Asset Management experience. A strong understanding of software licensing terms and conditions from top-tier publishers, experience with various SAM tools, and familiarity with industry regulations are required. Experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro, fundamental Hardware Asset Management, fundamental Configuration Management, and ITIL foundations are a plus. Solid understanding of traditional or cloud computing technologies and experience with multiple delivery methodologies like Agile and Waterfall are also necessary.
The Senior Software Asset Management Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing IT Asset Management processes, acting as a Subject Matter Expert in Software Asset Management. This includes deconstructing software licensing contracts into actionable reconciliation rules, analyzing large datasets, and developing metrics, KPIs, and dashboards. The role involves developing and maintaining operational processes, corporate policies, and standards, supporting audits, and partnering with vendors and enterprise teams on best practices. Additionally, the specialist will proactively learn emerging platforms, solve complex technical issues, teach peers, and establish best practices for compliance, security, privacy, and legal requirements.
